This rule of Bank of Baroda is changing from next month - Know the rule
If the customer does not confirm on the phone, the cheque will not be cleared.
Bank of Baroda cheque withdrawal rules will be changed from 1st June. From the June month, every time before redeeming a cheque, a message will come from the bank to the mobile number of the customer who issuing the cheque. The bank will payment for the cheque only if the customer confirms it.
In case of cheque amount less than Rs 2 lakh, only confirmation is required. But, in case of Rs. 2 lakh and above, the customer has to confirm the details of the cheque. Only then can cash be withdrawn or money can be deposited in the account. If the customer does not confirm on the phone, the cheque will not be cleared.
The number of frauds is increasing through fake cheque, stolen cheque, etc. It has been decided to prevent that. From 1st June, it has been informed that the permission of the customer will be taken before the clearance of a large amount of cheque.

গ্রাহক যদি ফোনে নিশ্চিত না করেন তবে চেকটি ক্লিয়ারেন্স হবে না। Bank of Baroda -র চেকের টাকা তোলার নিয়ম ১ লা জুন থেকে পরিবর্তন করা হচ্ছে। জুন মাস থেকে প্রতিবার একটি চেক ভাঙানোর আগে, চেক প্রদানকারী গ্রাহকের মোবাইল নম্বরে ব্যাংক থেকে একটি মেসেজ আসবে। সেই গ্রাহক কনফার্মেশন দিলে ব্যাংক চেকটির জন্য অর্থ পেমেন্ট করবে।
২ লক্ষ টাকার কম চেকের ক্ষেত্রে কেবল কনফার্মেশন প্রয়োজন। তবে, ২ লক্ষ বা তারও বেশি অঙ্কের ক্ষেত্রে, গ্রাহককে চেকের ডিটেইলস নিশ্চিত করতে হবে। তবেই নগদ উত্তোলন করা যাবে বা অ্যাকাউন্টে অর্থ জমা দেওয়া যাবে। যদি গ্রাহক ফোনে নিশ্চিত না করে তবে চেকটি ক্লিয়ারেন্স হবে না।
জাল চেক, চুরি করা চেক ইত্যাদির মাধ্যমে জালিয়াতির সংখ্যা বাড়ছে, তা রোধ করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। ১ লা জুন থেকে জানানো হয়েছে যে, প্রতিবার বড় অঙ্কের চেক ছাড়ার আগে গ্রাহকের অনুমতি নেওয়া হবে।
